Sunil Kumar Pissaye is a highly experienced software engineer with over 14 years of relevant experience. Currently, he works as a Senior Software Engineer and Team Lead at BigBinary, where he leads a team of developers to deliver high-quality software products. Sunil has a strong background in software engineering, testing, and product management, which he has developed through his work in various companies. Before joining BigBinary, Sunil worked as a Freelance Consultant for a live streaming app, where he developed a product and technology roadmap with stakeholders, focusing on user testing. He worked closely with the product team to develop the app, using Node + Express JS, React Native, Socket.io, and Wowza Media Server. Sunil also co-founded Simply Farm, where he worked as a Product Manager, leading the Tech, R&D, and Sales teams to create a roadmap. He architected the backend technology stack for the IoT-based systems and e-commerce website, leading to the launch of four hydroponics systems with IoT, automation, and India's first fully indoor hydroponics system. Sunil saw the company from inception to seed fund and acquisition, taking a data and metrics-driven approach in decision-making. Sunil holds a Master of Science in Software Engineering in Development Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from B.M.S College of Engineering. He also completed his Pre-University studies in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry from Vijaya College and attended B.M.S High School.
